An educational services organization has leased 17,500 square feet at a Wayne office building, according to brokers with Newmark Associates who arranged the transaction.
In a news release, the brokerage firm said it represented the Northern Region Educational Services Commission in the commitment at 1655 Valley Road. The organization has signed a 10-year lease with 1655 Valley Road LLC, an affiliate of Signature Acquisitions.
“Passaic County has a need for additional day rehabilitation services and NRESC’s new program will provide special services for up to 40 adults,” the Newmark team said in a prepared statement. “After an extensive search we found this ideal property with a landlord who was able to accommodate their specific requirements. In addition to a complete indoor fit-out, the landlord will be constructing outdoor facilities for student use, which was a major factor in the tenant’s deciding on this property.”
The brokerage team included Newmark Senior Vice President Nancy Stanton-Tuckman and Sales Associate Jay Zeitchik. The client, which offers support services for students with specific educational challenges, expects to open the new space in the fall, pending approvals for construction.
Its new home is part of a four-story, 125,000-square-foot building also known as Wayne Solar Center, which offers outdoor space for recreational use and a picnic area. Newmark also noted that the granite lobby is handicap-accessible with covered separate entrances, providing convenient, easy entry to the new tenant’s premises.
NRESC was attracted to the building’s central location in Passaic County and its proximity to William Paterson University’s Wayne Campus, which provides services to help educational districts and their students succeed, Newmark said.
