A professional services firm is relocating its corporate headquarters, brokers with JLL announced, inking a nearly 12,000-square-foot lease at a Warren office building.
Whitestone Associates Inc., an environmental and geotechnical engineering and consulting practice, is taking 11,871 square feet at 30 Independence Blvd. under a lease with Griffin Capital Essential Asset REIT II Inc. The tenant is relocating to the six-story, 207,252-square-foot complex from another Warren office building, 35 Technology Drive.
JLL Managing Director Scott Lesh, Senior Vice President Scott Stange and Vice Chairman Daniel Loughlin represented Whitestone Associates. Timothy Greiner, a JLL executive managing director and its head of agency leasing in New Jersey represented ownership alongside Managing Director Daniel Spero and Executive Vice President Dennis McConnell.
“Whitestone is creating a workplace environment that will help promote collaboration and employee engagement,” Lesh said. “The environmental and geotechnical engineering and consulting firm found 30 Independence Boulevard to be a great fit because it can accommodate all of Whitestone’s specialized staff and operations under one roof.”
Whitestone Associates will occupy the second floor at 30 Independence Blvd. as part of its long-term lease. The firm expects to complete its move by March 2020.

Griffin Capital acquired 30 Independence Blvd. in October 2013. It has since launched a multimillion-dollar renovation, seeking to capitalize on its immediate access to Interstate 78 and proximity to Interstate 287.
Designed by Studio1200, the improvements will include a new prominent, branded entrance, along with exterior landscaping, expanded parking, a new lobby and a grand staircase leading to a redeveloped amenity level.
