A salon studio chain has leased 7,500 square feet at a long-vacant commercial building in Midland Park, in a newly announced deal by The Goldstein Group.
Brokers with the firm represented VanRock Properties, the landlord at 1 Godwin Ave., in the transaction with Sola Salon Studios. The operator, which was founded in 2004 and has more than 600 locations nationwide, will use the space to provide beauty professionals with high-end, fully equipped studios alongside the support and tools they need to launch their salon business.
The Goldstein Group Principal Neil Goldstein and Executive Vice President Lew Finkelstein completed the assignment, while Vicki Ezra and Jamie Sackeim of The Shopping Center Group represented Sola Salon Studios.
“The building which was a former headquarters for a security company has been vacant for a long time, so it’s nice to see someone occupying the premises,” said Chuck Lanyard, president of The Goldstein Group. “Our company sold the property to the current owner who had the vision to position the building for retail purposes. The area is a fantastic neighborhood center which has numerous retail and restaurant tenants nearby.”
