A geotechnical and environmental consulting firm has made its latest acquisition in New Jersey, a Sussex County-based practice focused on dam engineering.
GZA GeoEnvironmental Inc. said Monday that the newly acquired firm, Civil Dynamics, will strengthen its dam and water resource capabilities in New Jersey and the surrounding region. Currently based in Stockholm, Civil Dynamics’ staff will join GZA’s Fairfield office and strengthen a practice that has conducted more than 1,500 dam engineering inspections and projects nationally over the last 30 years
“Throughout its 32 years in business, CD has earned a premier reputation as a trusted consultant on dam engineering, inspection, and maintenance for public and private water suppliers, lake communities, and hydropower clients,” said Bill Hadge, CEO and president of GZA. “We’ve been honored to partner with them on many projects over the years, and now we’re excited to bring their outstanding team into GZA to strengthen our ability to serve clients throughout the Mid-Atlantic and beyond.”
The move follows GZA’s recent acquisition of South Bound Brook-based Melick-Tully and Associates P.C.
“Formally joining GZA after our years of positive and productive business partnerships will allow us to continue to serve our existing clients while strengthening our ability to consult and advise on challenging dam and civil engineering projects, not just in our region but throughout the GZA service footprint,” Civil Dynamics President Chris Adams said. “All of us at CD are excited to take our practice to the next level with GZA.”
