The Hampshire Cos. has sold a 4,700-square-foot, freestanding QuickChek store in Bergen County, the Morristown-based real estate investment firm said Monday.
In a news release, the firm announced the disposition of the property at 354 Kinderkamack Road in Emerson to a private buyer. Terms were not disclosed.
Hampshire touted the property’s location at a retail center anchored by a Super Stop & Shop and Marshalls, which offers visibility on the primary north-south thoroughfare in Emerson. It is one of about 150 locations for QuickChek and draws from a population of 91,739 and an average household income of $146,038 within a three-mile radius, the firm said.
“QuickChek has built a reputation in the New Jersey and New York markets for securing the best locations for their stores and operating them in a manner that makes them strong long-term income-generating investments,” said Igor Derbaremdiker, Hampshire’s director of dispositions. “This sale aligned with our investment strategy for the property as we recognized the high demand for well-located, stabilized convenience store retail assets in New Jersey would enable us to offer a high rate of return to our investors.”
Chris Bosworth, executive vice president with CBRE, represented Hampshire in the transaction.
