A heating and cooling company is set to move its U.S. headquarters to a newly upgraded office building in Montville, under a 32,000-square-foot lease arranged by Cushman & Wakefield.
Brokers with the firm announced that Fujitsu General America Inc. has signed a lease at 340 Changebridge Road, a 100,000-square-foot property along Interstate 80. Its new home, owned by Real Capital Solutions, is a former Bayer Pharmaceuticals campus that the landlord has sought to reposition.
C&W’s Ben Brenner and MariaGrace Iantosca represented the Fujitsu General global subsidiary in its lease negotiation and its relocation from Fairfield. Curtis Foster and Jerry Shifrin, also of C&W, represented ownership as the building’s leasing agents.
“Fujitsu General previously housed its offices and warehousing at a tertiary flex facility,” Brenner said, adding that the warehouse operation will relocate to Piscataway. “This new headquarters offers a completely modern, Class A environment. The client empowered my team to find a property that would transform the culture of its business — with a landlord who would recognize the opportunity to partner with one of the world’s most recognizable brands.”
Fujitsu General has tapped Studio Eagle as its architect and general contractor for its fit-out at 340 Changebridge Road, which is off Exit 46 of I-80, C&W said. The firm anticipates taking occupancy in early 2020.
“We look forward to our upcoming move and all the benefits it will bring for our team and our organization,” said Matt Peterson, president of Fujitsu General America. “We appreciate what a positive experience the Cushman & Wakefield team created for us throughout the site search and negotiation process.”
