Renaissance Properties has welcomed another retail tenant at its sprawling mixed-use development in Burlington County with the opening of an Italian restaurant.
According to the firm, Gervasio’s Italian Family Restaurant joins the growing list of eateries at what’s known as The Shops at Old York Village at 95 Saddle Way in Chesterfield. Renaissance Properties announced the debut last week, noting that Mark Mazzone, the owner and grandson of founder Tony Gervasio, will lead a staff of 35 as it builds on nearly 55 years of history since the restaurant’s founding in the Chambersburg section of Trenton.
“By choosing The Shops at Old York Village as the home for Gervasio’s Italian Family Restaurant, Mark Mazzone has found the perfect setting to honor his family’s cherished recipes and business principles,” said Robert Adinolfi, chief operating officer at Renaissance Properties. “There’s a perfect synergy with Gervasio’s and The Shops at Old York Village that has been created at the intersection of the past and present.”
The Shops at Old York Village is part of a mixed-use, downtown-style development whose first phase opened in 2019, creating a new main street and focal point for the Burlington County township and for a 500-acre site that is some two decades in the making. The complex sits directly south of more than 1,000 townhomes, single-family dwellings and other units that developers have built over time, under a master-planned effort spearheaded by local officials.
“We love being in the heart of the Chesterfield community and being immersed in the local neighborhood,” Mazzone said. “The support and camaraderie among fellow small business owners at The Shops at Old York Village further solidify Gervasio’s place within this vibrant development.”
