A life sciences company is relocating within the Princeton submarket and will occupy a 47,000-square-foot office building in the Carnegie Center complex, JLL said Thursday.
In a news release, the real estate services firm said it represented Bioclinica Inc. in the transaction with Boston Properties Inc. The global clinical trials service provider has inked a long-term lease at 211 Carnegie Center Drive and is reducing its space by more than 20 percent.
Managing Director David Dusek and Vice President Scott Stange, both with JLL, represented the tenant. Boston Properties was represented in-house by John Brandbergh, senior vice president.
“As a private equity-owned company, we understood Bioclinica’s need to be EBITDA focused,” Dusek said. “Our goal was to locate high-end office space for the company, while ensuring its relocation provided a cost-effective solution to its real estate needs.”
Bioclinica, which provides specialized technology-enabled services to support clinical trials, is relocating from the Princeton Overlook campus. Its new home is located at the intersection of Carnegie Center Drive and Roszel Road in West Windsor, just off Route 1 within the 560-acre office complex.
“In leasing NRG Energy Inc.’s former headquarters, Bioclinica will be able to repurpose a significant amount of the existing installation, which will generate a significant savings for the company,” Stange said. “JLL’s efforts to assist the firm in adjusting its workplace strategy, allowed Bioclinica to move its entire staff into new, modern space that is 20 percent more efficient than its previous office.”
