JMF Properties has opened the doors to a collection of 125 upscale apartments in Morris Plains, where renters will be a short walk from the borough’s downtown and train station.
According to the developer, The American has hit the market with nearly 40 percent of its homes preleased by residents who joined its wait list. That’s due in part to the site’s connectivity to NJ Transit rail service, thanks to a new pedestrian walkway, and more than 20,000 square feet of dedicated indoor and outdoor amenity space.
Monthly rents at the building, at 1000 The American Road, start from $2,775, JMF said. Renters can choose from a mix of one- and two-bedroom units of up to 1,390 square feet.
“The American brings a new type of luxury housing to historic Morris Plains, one that offers renters not only beautiful new apartments, but a complete lifestyle package,” said Joe Forgione, founder and principal of JMF Properties. “As we designed this community, our goal was to enhance the resident experience in every way possible, and the result is a product that sets a new standard for rental living in suburban Morris County. We are proud to announce the launch of leasing and look forward to welcoming our first residents in the near future.”
Based in the Whippany section of Hanover, JMF has been steadily building its luxury apartment portfolio in recent years. Residents at the new Morris Plains property will be minutes from nearby communities such as Morristown, Morris Township, Parsippany and Hanover and from interstates 287, 80 and routes 202, 24 and 10.
Amenities at The American include a high-end fitness center with Matrix equipment and a separate personal training studio with a TRX system, kettlebells, a pro boxing punching bag and yoga equipment, according to a news release. It’s also home to a business center with a coffee bar, conference rooms and private enclosed workspaces, along with a second-floor lounge and outdoor spaces such as a courtyard with a mix of seating and dining areas, a firepit and grills.
Along with the shops and restaurants of downtown Morris Plains, the location provides quick access to the 420-acre Central Park of Morris County.
