KRE Group has opened the final building at a new 239-unit luxury rental property in East Hanover, bringing a new use to a former corporate campus less than a mile from Route 10.
Known as Valley View Park, the complex spans five buildings with a mix of one-, two- and three-bedroom homes and a series of social and recreational amenities. The developer this week said that each apartment at the site is now available to lease or already occupied, touting the latest milestone after breaking ground in spring 2023.
Handel Architects designed the project with Major Architects, while Minno & Wasko Architects and Planners is the architect of record.
“New renters are choosing Valley View Park because it is a one-of-a-kind community that offers an exceptional lifestyle,” said Jonathan Kushner, president of KRE Group. “With construction now complete, our full vision for this community is realized. Our residents enjoy brand-new apartments and upscale amenities in a highly desirable Morris County location.”
The site is part of what was once a multibuilding corporate headquarters for Nabisco, which would later become part of Mondelez International Inc. KRE began construction in 2023 after buying a roughly 80-acre portion of site, paving the way for a new addition to its portfolio of modern, garden-style rental communities in the region.
The finished product includes a central amenity green with perks such as a swimming pool, covered loggia with outdoor fireplace, a three-season relaxation area, grills, outdoor dining areas and many other amenities. Residents also have access to a walking trail that leads to the property’s highest point, plus a clubhouse with a great room, a leasable party room with a fireplace, a fitness center and a children’s playroom, among other features.
The community, where monthly rental rates start from the $2,500s, is named for a historic golf course that occupied the property from 1937 to 1973.
“Creating community spaces people genuinely want to spend time in was an important part of the design process,” said Marc Kushner, chief design officer of KRE Group. “The outdoor amenity green is an engaging focal point for residents of all five buildings, with multiple uses that invite them to relax, socialize, and enjoy their favorite activities.”
