Kushner Real Estate Group is off to a fast start at a new multifamily project in Bayonne, where it has signed leases for nearly a third of the property’s 200 luxury apartments.
The development, located at 151 Centre St., is marking its grand opening after a virtual preleasing period that began in early May. Residents are now able to move in, KRE Group said, while it has also begun to offer in-person tours of the complex known as Bay 151.
The project is the firm’s first residential development in Bayonne.
“The rapid pace of pre-leasing at Bay 151 is a testament to the demand for quality housing in Bayonne, which is quickly becoming the Gold Coast’s next residential destination,” said Jonathan Kushner, president of KRE Group. “Offering a short commute to New York City, along with a growing list of restaurants, retail and entertainment, Bayonne has become increasingly popular with newcomers throughout New Jersey as well as Manhattan and the outer boroughs, many of whom are seeking an amenity-rich experience at a more attractive price point.”
Located on Bayonne’s waterfront peninsula, Bay 151 is comprised of three four-story buildings with 200 rental apartments and 10,000 square feet of retail space. The property, which offers units ranging from studios to three-bedroom apartments, is also steps from the Hudson-Bergen Light Rail’s 45th Street station with easy access to the New Jersey Turnpike.
KRE noted that Bay 151 has nearly 15,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor amenities, such as a high-end fitness center and an outdoor deck with dining areas, grilling stations and a resort-style swimming pool. Residents will have access to a library and co-working space, business center with individual workstations, demonstration kitchen and other common areas.
The Marketing Directors is the leasing and marketing agent for Bay 151, where prices for available units start at $1,500 a month for a studio, which is net effective rent based on two months free with a 14-month lease.
