A life sciences firm has signed a 3,000-square-foot expansion at its longtime home at the Hillsborough Business Center, a sprawling campus owned by Larken Associates.
The company, Bezwada Biomedical, has been a Larken tenant for more than 30 years. It has grown during that time with multiple transactions across three buildings at the 100-acre, 596,315-square-foot industrial flex park on Stryker Lane, moving from 1,500 square feet to 9,000 square feet with its latest deal.
“The Hillsborough Business Center’s high level of flexibility coupled with the limited supply in New Jersey’s industrial/flex sector continues to make it an ideal place for a diverse group of tenants to call home,” said Rob Marek, executive vice president of Raider Realty, the in-house brokerage division of Larken Associates. “Our longstanding partnership with Bezwada Biomedical provides us with a deep understanding of their business needs, and it allowed us to find the perfect space in the Hillsborough Business Center’s to enable them to continue to grow their operations.”
The firm noted that the campus, which spans 27 buildings, is a block east of Route 206 and minutes from area highways. It’s home to a range of tenants requiring space for research and development, lab, warehousing, distribution, light manufacturing and product assembly, as well as fitness, recreation and daycare.
Founded in 2003 by Rao Bezwanda, an accomplished chemist, Bezwada Biomedical develops and manufactures innovative, proprietary and absorbable monomers and polymers for biomedical applications and next-generation medical devices, according to a news release. Today, its team of qualified and skilled scientists have developed a strong technology and product portfolio of patented technology for us in a wide range of applications such as medical devices, controlled drug delivery, tissue engineering and wound healing and adhesion prevention.
Its new office and warehousing space is in Building 8 of the Hillsborough Business Center, bringing the 25,362-square-foot building to full occupancy.
