Comcast has leased 4,000 square feet and will open a new Xfinity retail store at a Woodbridge shopping center, Levin Management Corp. said Tuesday.
The store will be among the latest tenants at St. Georges Crossing, a 343,000-square-foot complex at the busy intersection Route 1 & 9 and Route 35. The space will front on Route 1, occupying part of a freestanding former Bertucci’s restaurant building.
LMC Leasing Representative E.J. Moawad, who represented ownership, said the location will be a new prototype store for the cable, entertainment and communications giant that is meant to improve customer service. The new store will offer interactive spaces where customers can explore a range of products and services in a technology-focused environment.
Jay Miller of CBRE represented Comcast.
“We continue to enhance St. Georges Crossing with household-name tenants that reinforce its competitive market position,” Moawad said. “The outparcel site where this prototype store will be located will be fully renovated inside and out. It offers exposure, access and visibility that is second to none, which played a significant role in attracting Comcast.”
St. Georges Crossing is anchored by ShopRite and P.C. Richard & Son, featuring a mix of retail, restaurant and service tenants. Additions in recent years include T.J.Maxx, West Marine and Blu Alehouse.
