A program-based fitness operator has leased 3,000 square feet at a heavily trafficked shopping center along Route 22 in Watchung, according to Levin Management Corp.
In a news release, the firm said the MAX Challenge will be among the newest tenants at the 419,000-square-foot Blue Star Shopping Center. The business offers a 10-week body renewal system based on a combination of nutritional counseling, fitness classes and motivation provided by trained instructors.
LMC Leasing Representative E.J. Moawad negotiated the lease on behalf of Blue Star, the news release said. Sitar’s Joe AmecAngelo, who was with R.J. Brunelli & Co. at the time of the lease signing, served as tenant broker in the transaction.
“The MAX Challenge offers one of the most dynamic fitness experiences in the industry today, and we are excited to bring this popular and growing concept to Blue Star Shopping Center,” Moawad said. “Fitness represents a new category for this property. The MAX Challenge is an ideal complement to our tenant base and will be great resource for those who live and work in the community.”
Blue Star Shopping Center is anchored by Kohl’s, ShopRite, Marshalls and other major brands, with a mix of restaurants, retailers and experiential operators. The property sits between Terrill and Bonnie Burn roads.
