NAI Mertz has expanded the brokerage team at its Mount Laurel headquarters with two recent hires, the real estate services firm announced.

The new hires include Joseph Riggs, who has more than 35 years of industry experience and will serve as a senior vice president in the firm’s office division. Meantime, Mertz has added Josh Johnson as a sales associate who will work with Riggs as part of its southern New Jersey office team.
“At NAI Mertz, our employees are our most valuable assets. As a company, we strive to cultivate a committed team of knowledgeable and results-driven brokers that can offer the best services to our clients,” NAI Mertz CEO Barry Mertz said. “Joe and Josh join Becky Ting and Julie Kronfeld, both SIORs, to double the firm’s resources dedicated to southern New Jersey office services.
“The collective volume of business represented by this team is beyond impressive and serves as evidence of the competence and experience delivered to the benefit of clients,” he added. “Additionally, these new hires blend the deeply rooted culture and values of our company with the fresh perspectives brought by Joe and Josh. As we continue our rapid growth throughout the region, we are pleased to welcome Joe and Josh to our team.”

Riggs will specialize in the sale and leasing of office buildings as well as investment properties in Camden, Burlington and Gloucester counties, according to a news release. That focus will include several sectors such as medical office, single-tenant assets, multitenant portfolios, environmentally challenged properties, distressed assets and repositioning opportunities.
Mertz touted Riggs’ expertise in purchasing, managing and developing real estate for investment properties and his extensive background in budgeting, management, finance, construction and marketing. He is a New Jersey licensed salesperson with an MBA from Saint Joseph’s University.
Previously, Johnson worked for the Jill Biggs Group-Coldwell Banker, where he was a full-time sales associate and training manager, the news release said. The Towson University graduate consistently doubled his annual sales volumes at his previous post.
