More than ever before, the race for space is on for industrial tenants seeking a short drive to Manhattan and the rest of the nation’s biggest consumer market.
It’s why the state is teeming with new development up and down the New Jersey Turnpike. Third-quarter research by JLL tracked 4.2 million square feet of warehouse and distribution space under construction in northern and central New Jersey, as developers seek to capture the demand from e-commerce users, food companies and other operators.
