Longtime commercial real estate broker John Sica has joined Newmark Associates as a vice president, the Morris County-based firm announced Monday.
According to a news release, Sica serves all counties and markets in New Jersey with a focus on sourcing investment sale and landlord and tenant representation opportunities in Somerset and Middlesex counties. He’s also looking to build a heavy presence in Ocean and Monmouth counties, the firm said, noting that he is a Jersey Shore resident.
Newmark added that Sica has been a commercial realtor since 1999 and brings a diverse background in fields such as academia, science, retail, insurance, mortgage and information technology consulting, among others.
“This broad base of experience cultivated facile communication forming strong bonds with a variety of clients in the auto dealership industry, churches, convenience stores, multifamily unit sales, restaurants (and) taverns, retail stores and warehouses,” the firm wrote in its announcement. “Clients appreciate and rely upon his capacity to respond quickly in researching properties, provide timely updates and fulfilling his professional motto to ‘go the extra mile to successfully attain client goals and expectations.”
Sica holds a bachelor’s from Rutgers University and a degree in computer technology from The Chubb Institute. He also attended Promise Culinary School in New Brunswick and enjoys traditional archery, camping and hiking, while he supports charities such as the ASPCA and Covenant House.
