The nation’s largest independent owner of Gold Crown Hallmark stores has opened its doors to a new location in Atlantic County.
According to the operator, Norman’s Hallmark, the store at 319 Bethel Road in Somers Point occupies more than 6,000 square feet at Ocean Heights Plaza, offering a vast selection of card and specialty gift items. The space is now among more than 70 locations for the Newtown, Pennsylvania-based chain, which continues to grow its brick-and-mortar footprint throughout its home state and New Jersey and has expanded in recent years to Delaware and northern Maryland.
“We are pleased to bring one of our larger, full-format stores to the local community,” said Howard Henschel, Norman’s Hallmark president and CEO. “Ocean Heights Plaza is a high-quality, easily accessible shopping center that’s home to numerous top national brands, including a ShopRite supermarket. It’s a great place for us to be as we expand Norman’s store portfolio in the Southern New Jersey market.”
The chain, whose expansion has also included southern New Jersey, offers a complete line of Hallmark products, cards for every occasion and Keepsake Ornaments, according to a news release. It also has a diverse merchandise selection for gift giving and the home that includes fashion apparel and accessories, books, stationery, games, home décor, specialty candy and gourmet foods.
