A pet supplies store and a restaurant will be the newest tenants at an Atlantic County shopping center, leasing a combined 5,482 square feet in deals brokered by Vantage Commercial.
In the larger transaction, Pets Plus has committed to 3,600 square feet at the Galloway Township property, located at 45 New York Road. The family-owned and -operated local store will take over a former PetValu space, which became available on Jan. 1.
Vantage Commercial also announced that Chef Mike Leung of Dim Sum and Then Some has leased 1,882 square feet at what’s known as Smithville Square. With an existing location in Ventnor City, the operator will open his second location in the space in the coming months, seeking to extend the growing brand’s delivery and pickup area and serve the local Galloway community.
Aran Ploshansky, director of operations with Vantage Commercial, and Corinne Giletto, senior adviser, brokered the transactions in collaboration with Smithville Square’s Scott Weinblatt. They noted that the deals represent the fifth and sixth transactions at the property within the past 12 months.
“The power duo of Aran and Corrine of Vantage Commercial has played a vital role at Smithville Square over the past 12 months,” Weinblatt said, later adding: “Their pragmatic and effective approach makes the process seamless and convenient. We are confident that the momentum they created by Vantage Commercial at the center in the last 12 months will carry on for the next several years!”
Located near Route 9, Smithville Square is also home to Dollar General, Anytime Fitness and Dunkin.
