Planet Fitness is coming to a newly renovated shopping center in the Cedar Knolls section of Hanover, where it will occupy more than 20,000 square feet alongside tenants such as McDonald’s, Walmart and Michaels.
The gym chain said it will open in December at Cedar Knolls Plaza, at 235 Ridgedale Ave., offering a full array of cardio machines and strength equipment, a 30-minute express circuit, rowing machines, fully equipped locker rooms with day lockers and showers and other features. Its plans also call for HydroMassage loungers, massage chairs, tanning booths, Total Body Enhancement booths, a Wellness Pod and more.
RIPCO Real Estate’s Patrick Brake and Curtis Nassau are listed as the property’s leasing team. A brochure for the center notes that it is a half-mile from downtown Morristown, while it provides quick access to Interstate 287, Route 24 and other thoroughfares.
“We’re excited to be opening our 13th club in New Jersey,” said Brandyn Lorenz, vice president of real estate at Grand Fitness, a franchise division of Planet Fitness. “We look forward to giving the community an affordable, accessible, and judgement free atmosphere with top-of-the-line cardio and strength equipment in addition to our Black Card® Spa amenities. We can’t wait to welcome everyone to our Planet Fitness family and help make the Cedar Knolls community happier and healthier.”
