A road striping company is getting a new headquarters in Middlesex Borough as part of a project that’s now underway by REDCOM Design & Construction.
According to a news release, the building at 700 South Ave. will allow Straight Edge Striping to increase its operational efficiency and support its growth. That will be thanks in part to expanded office and warehouse space, a truck servicing area and parking for both cars and trucks.
Westfield-based REDCOM, which joined Straight Edge Striping last month for a groundbreaking ceremony, provided the engineering and architectural services for the project and is managing the construction, the news release said. Those on hand included Straight Edge Striping President Andrew Altobelli, Middlesex Mayor Emeritus John Madden, Middlesex Borough Administrator Michael La Place, REDCOM CEO Ryan Teicher and REDCOM Senior Vice President of Sales Sam Rockaway.
“This project was years in the making and I’m thrilled to see it come to life,” Rockaway said. “Straight Edge’s new site has unique engineering challenges due to updated stormwater regulations and its location within a flood hazard area. REDCOM’s engineering and architecture teams collaborated closely to manage these challenges and to design a building and site to meet Straight Edge’s needs.”
