Spark Car Wash has leased a 1.5-acre site in Wayne for a new location on one of the township’s main retail corridors, brokers with The Goldstein Group announced Monday.
According to a news release, the fast-growing chain will occupy a parcel at 1207 Hamburg Turnpike that was home to a Charlie Brown’s restaurant. The Goldstein Group Executive Vice President Lew Finkelstein and Vice President CJ Huter represented both the landlord, VanRock Properties, and the tenant in the ground lease.
“Spark Car Wash is on an aggressive expansion in the area to open new locations,” Huter said. “The site afforded them a fantastic opportunity to enter the Hamburg Turnpike, Wayne, (New Jersey) market as the site is located in the densely populated area near several school systems and with the athletic fields next door will be popular with people attending events.”
The brokers noted that nearby tenants include ShopRite, Stop & Shop, Burlington, Trader Joe’s, CVS, LA Fitness and many others. The new location will be among the latest for the six-year-old, Summit-based company.
