A new Ace Hardware has arrived in the Cedar Knolls section of Hanover, occupying 23,000 square feet along Ridgedale Avenue under a lease secured by RIPCO Real Estate.
According to the brokerage team, the store at Cedar Knolls Plaza is now the largest in New Jersey for Deer Park, New York-based Costello’s Ace Hardware. The business at 235 Ridgedale Ave. was slated to open May 8, offering what RIPCO touted as an extensive selection of hardware and home improvement products, including a dedicated grilling department, power equipment offerings and a curated retail concept known as “The Knolls Thoughtful Finds.”
The operator is also looking at potentially using the site as a regional fulfillment hub, supporting
faster distribution to other New Jersey stores, the firm said.
“We’re proud to have represented ownership in bringing a high-quality, expanding operator like Costello’s Ace Hardware to Cedar Knolls Plaza,” said Curtis Nassau, an executive vice president at RIPCO Real Estate. “This transaction underscores the continued demand for well-positioned retail in Morris County and the importance of aligning strong tenancy with community needs.”
Nassau and RIPCO Managing Director Patrick Brake represented ownership in the lease, while David DePetris of Legend Properties represented the tenant.
“The scale of this 23,000-square-foot lease and Costello’s decision to establish their largest New Jersey location here speaks volumes about the strength of the site,” Brake said. “We’re excited to see this flagship concept come to life and drive continued traffic and momentum for the center.”
