RPM Development Group has debuted the final phase of its inventory at an upscale residential project in Oceanport, part of the sprawling former Fort Monmouth property.
Known as East Gate, the 68-unit project has eight remaining duplex homes along Allen Avenue, offering three-bedroom floorplans priced from the $800,000s, RPM said. The Montclair-based developer is touting high-end living within a historic setting, following its restoration of a historic officers’ housing complex at the 1,226-acre site.
The final offering is known as Officer’s Row, executives said.
“Officer’s Row delivers a prominent housing opportunity and buyers have been anxiously awaiting its release since we first opened East Gate last year,” said Michael Hong, assistant vice president of development at RPM. “These homes offer an even higher level of luxury, comfort and appeal and provide sought-after locations with spacious backyards and views of Parker’s Creek. As a result, we don’t expect this limited collection to remain available very long.”
East Gate is the first residential component to be introduced within the Fort Monmouth, redevelopment. With its final offering, RPM highlighted the chance to have water views of nearby Parker’s Creek and renovated, spacious interiors that once housed high-ranking military officers.
The developer also continues to sell townhomes and duplexes within the second phase of East Gate. Those homes are priced from the $500,000s to the mid-$700,000s.
Fort Monmouth, which also includes parts of Eatontown and Tinton Falls, was closed by the military in 2011 as part of a federal base realignment. Led by the Fort Monmouth Economic Revitalization Authority, or FMERA, the state has overseen efforts to reposition the property and has several other commercial and residential projects moving through its pipeline.
RPM launched sales at East Gate last year, citing the property’s location minutes from nearby beaches and the banks of the Shrewsbury River, along with its proximity to the entertainment, dining and culture of the fort and surrounding towns.
