Sherwin-Williams has leased more than 3,400 square feet of retail space in a fast-growing section of Kearny, in a newly announced transaction by The Goldstein Group.
Brokers with the firm represented the paint company in the deal at 216-276 Passaic Ave., the site of the Kearny Plaza Shopping Center. According to the brokerage team, the store will occupy part of a freestanding pad site adjacent to AFC Urgent Care, joining tenants such as Target, BJ’s Warehouse, M&T Bank, Chipotle and a host of others.
The Goldstein Group Principal Neil Goldstein served as Sherwin-Williams’ representative in the 3,420-square-foot deal, while Jenny Welkis of Welco Realty represented the owner, Osborne Capital LLC.
“The Kearny market has seen an influx of new residential buildings in an established market,” said Chuck Lanyard, president of The Goldstein Group. “The Passaic Avenue corridor has seen new residents move in over the past few years and additional retailers and restaurants have also opened in the market.”
