Skyline Development Group has taken the wraps off Solaia, its new 70-unit luxury condominium property near the Hudson River waterfront in North Bergen.
The firm welcomed Mayor Nicholas J. Sacco and other well-wishers recently to mark the completion of the property, which sits at 8701 Churchill Road. Sales are well underway at the 14-story building after it hit the market earlier this year, with prices starting in the $600,000s and the allure of 10,000 square feet of upscale amenities, proximity to multiple transportation options and views of the Manhattan skyline.
Skyline and its sales team, The Marketing Directors, recorded five sales in November.
“With its prime location, stunning views of Manhattan, exquisite architecture and design and state-of-the-art features, Solaia is one of the most distinctive properties on the entire Gold Coast,” Sacco said. “The amenities are second to none, with a spa-like atmosphere and world-class facilities for fitness, relaxation, and entertainment. It makes a great addition to North Bergen and I’m proud to welcome it to our community.”
Immediate occupancy is available at Solaia, which sits on an elevated, secluded street bordering the Palisades Cliffs. The property, whose design team includes Architectura and Downtown Decorators, features homes ranging from 864 to more than 1,900 square feet with upscale finishes and appliances.
It’s also home to amenities such as a three-story spa and wellness center with suspension training, boxing and yoga as part of its fully equipped fitness facility. Other features include a roof deck with grills, an outdoor kitchen, a co-working lounge with a conference room and an owner’s lounge.
Skyline also cited the property’s location just south of Edgewater and north of the acclaimed Port Imperial section of West New York and Weehawken. The building is less than 10 minutes from NY Waterway Ferry service into Manhattan, with proximity to the Lincoln Tunnel and Hudson-Bergen Light Rail service.
“We’re delighted to officially open the doors to high end living at Solaia,” said Louis Mont, Skyline’s founder and CEO. “We’re opening this building at a time when buyers are rethinking their priorities and want larger, luxurious homes in well-amenitized buildings that provide a respite from the congestion of Manhattan but are still near its business and entertainment centers. Solaia completely fills those desires and has received an overwhelmingly positive response in today’s market.
