A national flooring retailer has taken nearly 100,000 square feet at the site of a former Kmart store in Toms River, in a newly announced lease by Jeffery Realty.
A developer has acquired a former Kmart-anchored retail complex in East Brunswick, with plans to reposition the 150,000-square-foot property through a potentially mixed-use project.
At least eight Kmart stores in New Jersey will among those to have closed this year, following an announcement on Thursday that parent company Sears Holdings Corp. would shutter additional locations beyond the lists unveiled earlier this year.
