Transwestern’s New Jersey office announced it has been recognized for the fourth straight year for its work environment and quality of life for employees, one of several real estate-related firms in the state to earn the distinction this year.
The Parsippany-based firm was recently named to the Best Places to Work in New Jersey by NJBIZ. Each of the past three years, the publication has ranked the commercial real estate firm among the top two large companies on the list.
Transwestern’s exact ranking this year will be unveiled at an event on April 26. This year’s list also includes other real estate and service firms in brokerage, accounting, law, construction and other related sectors.
“Transwestern believes the key to success in this competitive market is building a collaborative culture that fosters innovation and empowers each and every member of our team,” James Postell, Transwestern partner and city leader, said in a prepared statement. “We’re honored to be recognized among companies in the state that are truly dedicated to cultivating a positive workplace environment.”
Transwestern, a Houston-based company, entered New Jersey in late 2011 and formally launched its office here in early 2012. Team members provide brokerage, property management and construction services for office, industrial, retail and health care properties.
For its employees, the firm provides incentives such as full health care and benefits packages; eight hours of paid community service; wellness activities including nutrition sessions, competitive races, and in-house yoga; paid training and skills development; formal mentorship program; quarterly young professionals’ events; social events such as an annual boat cruise and team lunches.
The selected companies were ranked based on each company’s policies, practices, philosophy, systems and demographics, as well as an employee survey conducted by Best Companies Group, according to a news release.
