A group of commercial real estate professionals turned out to Morristown last week for a round of speed networking hosted by the Urban Land Institute of Northern New Jersey.
Organized by the chapter’s Young Leaders group, the Feb. 8 networking session drew attendees from a wide range of disciplines and specialties within the industry. The happy hour event took place at The Office Tavern Grill, providing an opportunity for young professionals to build new relationships through one-on-one focused conversations lasting just a few minutes.
“The goal of the event was to allow young professionals within the New Jersey commercial real estate industry to meet and network,” said Ryan Fraser, director of acquisitions at Vision Real Estate Partners and co-chair of ULI Young Leaders.
“We wanted to ensure that various industry groups were represented, including brokers, developers, attorneys, architects, engineers, capital sources — essentially all of the key players needed to work together to drive a successful transaction from start to finish,” Fraser added. “Most of the people in the room will be working in this market for many years and the relationships we form at events like this will hopefully lead to future deals and continued relationships.
“We are very happy with the turnout and look forward to executing great events and programming throughout 2018 and into the future.”
