Urban Edge Properties has announced several new tenants at its Bergen Town Center property in Paramus, including two that will be marking their first locations in New Jersey.
In a news release Wednesday, the real estate investment trust said Kohl’s will occupy prime space along Route 4 as part of a previously disclosed 134,000-square-foot deal with the retailer. Additionally, operators known as Chick’n Cone and Ani Ramen will join the center’s dining lineup, while the 105-acre property will also welcome V/O Med Spa and Pandora Jewelry.
“Bergen Town Center has long been our flagship and a go-to resource for area shoppers,” said Chris Weilminster, executive vice president and chief operating officer for Urban Edge. “With the addition of a brand-new Kohl’s store as well as an elevated mix of dining, fashion and wellness options, we continue to deliver on our mission to provide a high-quality, convenient and value-oriented retail experience to our customers.”
The REIT said that, in anticipation of the new arrivals, Bergen Town Center is undergoing renovations to improve walkability, navigation and access to fresh air and light for shoppers. It also pointed to a commitment by Hackensack Meridian Health, which will establish a significant presence at the property with a modern 80,000-square foot medical office facility.
Chick’n Cone, a fast-casual restaurant offering chicken-filled waffle cones, will open its first New Jersey location at what is Paramus’ second-largest mall. The same is true for V/O Med Spa, which provides aesthetic medical and day spa services.
Located on Route 4 just west of Forest Avenue, the complex is home to the likes of Target, Whole Foods, Nike and a host of other high-profile tenants across its distinctive mix of enclosed and open-air retail spaces, along with a selection of outlet stores.
