The new owner of a nearly 107,000-square-foot shopping center in Galloway has picked Vantage Commercial as the property’s leasing team.
Brokers will work on behalf of Western Building Co., which recently purchased what’s known as Smithville Square, to fill available space and pad sites that can support built-to-suit development. The center at 45 South New York Road has already secured a major new tenant with a lease by Curexa, a leading pharmaceutical services provider.
Vantage Commercial’s Emily Stein and Vince Ceroli are spearheading the assignment.
“We are thrilled to welcome Curexa to Smithville Square and are excited to partner with Western Building Co. on leasing opportunities,” said Stein, a managing director with Vantage Commercial. “The addition of Curexa and its 200 employees will further stimulate the area, making it a prime location for businesses looking to join a thriving commercial center.”
Located off Route 9, Smithville Square is home to tenants such as Dunkin’, GEICO, Anytime Fitness, Nurture Pets, JD’s and Smitty’s. Western Building Co. purchased the 106,931-square-foot property for $13.7 million, in a deal announced last month by Cushman & Wakefield.
“Smithville Square’s prime location, near Atlantic City and historic Smithville, coupled with its strong tenant mix, makes it a great opportunity for businesses looking to expand,” said Ceroli, a senior adviser at Vantage Commercial.
