The Walsh Co. has expanded its service lines to include an environmental solutions practice, hiring a prominent industry professional to lead the division.
The Morristown-based construction and project management firm announced Wednesday that Elisa Buckley has joined its team as a managing director. She comes to the business from Langan, bringing more than 20 years of technical environmental experience.
“I am extremely excited to join the Walsh Company and work with the already amazing team that Ed Walsh has put together,” Buckley said. “By adding the environmental services component to the team’s existing disciplines and expertise we now have additional opportunities to serve our current and future clients in both simple transactions and more challenging environmental issues on their projects.
“The best part for our clients is that based on the structure of the Walsh Company we can get things done quickly and cost-effectively to for them.”
In a news release, the firm touted Buckley’s experience in project management and commercial environmental and ecological investigations. The firm said she has worked with clients to find environmental solutions when challenges arose in development projects and transactions in settings such as urban downtown buildings, petroleum spill sites, pharmaceutical manufacturing facilities, brownfield development sites and landfills.
Buckley currently serves as board president of Commercial Real Estate Women of New Jersey.
“I am very excited to be working with Elisa and to offer our clients the added service of environmental consulting in addition to all other services Walsh Company currently offers,” said Ed Walsh, founder and president of the Walsh Co. “Elisa is well-known in the environmental industry and is a great asset to the Walsh team.”
