Weiss Properties has opened the doors to its second luxury residential building in Somerville, delivering 60 new apartments and amenity spaces to the borough’s growing downtown.
Known as The Davenport, the property at 21 Davenport St. includes a mix of one- and two-bedroom homes less than a block north of Main Street. The New Brunswick-based developer marked the building’s opening and the launch of leasing earlier this week.
“The timing couldn’t be better,” said Robert Weiss, president of Weiss Properties. “For those looking for a suburban lifestyle of open space, greenery and privacy without having to sacrifice a vibrant and exciting city life with award winning restaurants, bars and entertainment, the Davenport is the perfect destination. This building offers suburban living with a cosmopolitan vibe.”
The milestone comes three years after Weiss opened The Cobalt Apartments, a 117-unit building less than a mile from its newest project. The firm is now hoping to continue its momentum with The Davenport, which features upscale interior design and immediate access to the dining, retail and cultural offerings of downtown Somerville.
Inside the building, residents have access to amenities such as a courtyard lounge with a seating area surrounding a fireplace, a high-end fitness center and a club room with a pool table. The property also features an enclosed parking deck with direct building access.
