G.S. Wilcox & Co. has arranged $16.5 million in financing for a new 44,000-square-foot office building in Morristown developed by The Hampshire Cos., the mortgage banker said Monday.
In a news release, Wilcox said it secured the 15-year loan for 49 Market St. from a life insurance company headquartered in Alabama. The recent completion of the building, which is the new northern New Jersey headquarters for law firm Fox Rothschild, is the first new Class A office property delivered to downtown Morristown in decades.
Gretchen S. Wilcox, president, and Al Raymond, principal, handled the transaction for the Morristown-based mortgage banking firm.
“G.S. Wilcox & Co. is thrilled to take an active role in the continued evolution of the downtown Morristown market,” Wilcox said in a prepared statement.
