An educational service and a staffing agency have leased retail space at the base of a newly renovated apartment building in downtown Passaic, the property’s broker said.
In a news release, Zoltek Realty announced that it represented the landlord and both tenants in the deals at 585 Main Ave. The new tenants include Zoni Language Centers and ProStaff Solutions, which leased 5,500 square feet and 638 square feet, respectively.
Urszula Zoltek handled the assignment for the Rutherford-based brokerage.
Zoni Language Centers, a leader in international language and college placement education, signed a 10-year lease for a space that includes fully built out classrooms and a modern café area open to students and the public. Zoltek said the business is a multisite institution with campuses in Manhattan, Queens, New Jersey, Miami Beach and Vancouver, where Intensive English Programs and other English language-related courses are offered.
ProStaff Solutions, which provides staffing services, occupies a space that has oversized windows and a mezzanine, the news release said.
Zoltek Realty also said Thursday that it had completed the sale a vacant parcel in Linden to 7-Eleven Inc., which will build a convenience store at the site. Located at 2309 East Edgar Road, at the corner of Bacheller Avenue, the site spans 20,000 square feet with 163 feet of frontage.
The unimproved land is located in the city’s light industrial district, Zoltek said. The firm represented both the seller, Pearce Realty LLC, and 7-Eleven Inc.
