Advance Realty Investors has opened the doors to its newest luxury apartments in Harrison, having preleased a quarter of the 399-unit property known as The Wyldes.
The firm this week said move-ins are underway at the complex at 1100 South 5th St., which is just north of its two other multifamily properties within a 35-acre, master-planned area known as the Riverbend District. It’s also across from Harrison’s busy PATH Station, helping to fuel interest from renters that are looking for alternatives to markets such as Jersey City.
“We are thrilled to witness the incredible demand and enthusiasm for The Wyldes,” said Dan Cocoziello, principal and chief operating officer of Advance Realty Investors. “The arrival of The Wyldes marks a significant milestone, drawing in new residents and enriching the neighborhood with an expanded selection of residential choices and open spaces.”

Bedminster-based Advance is leasing the property, designed by MHS Architecture and built by March Associates Construction, alongside The Marketing Directors. In doing so, they’re offering a collection of studio, one-bedroom and two-bedroom homes starting in the mid-$2,000s and nearly 70,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor amenity space.
“Preleasing more than 100 residences at The Wyldes prior to opening without the benefit of touring prospects through finished spaces sends a powerful message to the marketplace that Harrison, and in particular the Riverbend District, has emerged from the shadows of Jersey City and firmly captured the attention of today’s renter,” said Jacqueline Urgo, president of The Marketing Directors. “The same can be said of the brokerage community which more and more is bringing clients to Harrison, something we didn’t see in years past.”
Amenities at The Wyldes include a landscaped rooftop with views of downtown Manhattan and the Newark skyline, as well as a bar with TVs, multiple firepits, sun loungers and grills with outdoor dining areas, according to a news release. The property also has a similarly furnished but smaller courtyard space for more intimate gatherings, Advance said, along with an infinity-edge pool with in-water chaise lounges, firepits, a sun deck and other offerings.
Indoors, The Wyldes has two lobbies with double-height lounges and a coffee station, plus a commercial-grade demonstration kitchen and a high-end, two-story fitness center, the news release said. Residents also have access to a virtual gaming and karaoke room with a mini bar and a billiards room with a media lounge and kitchenette, among others, including an office and library with flexible co-working spaces such as private offices and conference rooms.
Advance’s earlier projects in Harrison have included Steel Works, a collection of 286 apartments completed in 2017, and Cobalt Lofts, which added another 280 units to the Riverbend District about a year and a half later. Renters at all three properties are a PATH stop away from Newark Penn Station, while also 20 minutes by rail from Jersey City, Hoboken and Lower Manhattan.
