Atkins Cos. has completed a project that has brought a new luxury aesthetics and plastic surgery center to Manhattan’s Hudson Square neighborhood.
The West Orange-based firm said the facility, located at 497 Greenwich St., is a collaboration with the prominent team of doctors Oren Tepper, Evan Garfein and Arthur Perry, one that merges luxury and hospitality with modern outpatient plastic surgery care and advanced surgical expertise. The two-story building also has a space known as Greenwich Street Surgical, a collective of operative room suites for many of New York’s top practitioners providing surgical and non-surgical facial and body treatments.
“Every aspect of Greenwich Street 497 has been carefully designed with our patients’ experience in mind, from initial consultation through recovery,” Tepper said. “We thank Atkins Companies for their work to bring our vision to life in Hudson Square and we look forward to welcoming patients to our new space to experience a truly unmatched level of care.”
Brian Newman and Paul Green of ND Architects designed the space, with Rich Privitera with RP Builders serving as general contractor, according to a news release. In detailing the project, Atkins noted that Tepper is a renowned surgeon and pioneer in the field of 3D surgical innovation, serving as the director of aesthetic surgery and craniofacial surgery programs at Montefiore and as an associate professor of plastic surgery at Albert Einstein College of Medicine.
Garfein, meantime, is the chief of the Division of Plastic Surgery at Montefiore and professor of surgery at Albert Einstein College of Medicine, with an expertise in the field of complex breast and body surgery. Notably, he played a key role in helping pass a New York State law in 2010 to make breast reconstruction more accessible to underserved women with breast cancer.
Perry is host of WOR radio’s longrunning “What’s Your Wrinkle” program, bringing expertise in surgical and noninvasive facial rejuvenation, as well as experience as a government regulator on New Jersey’s State Board of Medical Examiners.
“Greenwich Street 497 highlights the endless potential available through collaboration between health care professionals and experienced real estate developers,” said Cory Atkins, principal at Atkins Cos. “We are deeply proud of our work with Dr. Tepper, Dr. Garfein and Dr. Perry to bring this new model for the future of aesthetic and plastic surgery care to the tristate area.”
