A trucking and shipping company is expanding its footprint after leasing nearly 90,000 square feet of industrial space in Edison, in a newly completed deal by Bussel Realty Corp.
In a news release, the brokerage firm said it represented Inter-Metro Freight in the transaction with Federal Business Centers, the owner of the 114,919-square-foot property at 355 Clearview Road. The tenant is expanding by 87,103 square feet at the building, part of the vast Raritan Center complex, thanks in part to its access to the New Jersey Turnpike, routes 440 and 9 and other major highways.
Gregory Irving, executive vice president and partner with BRC, noted that the landlord “was glad to accommodate the tenant’s growing need at a time when the availability of warehouse distribution facilities comes at a premium.” Federal Business Centers’ Stacey Weinberg represented ownership in-house.
BRC added that the deal follows Inter-Metro’s recent extension at 74 Northfield Ave. in Edison, which is also owned by Federal Business Centers. Irving also represented the tenant in that deal.
The Clearview Road property features 24-foot ceiling heights, wet sprinklers, 18 loading docks and 600 amps of electric power.
