Leasing is underway at the newest affordable housing property developed by Community Investment Strategies Inc., a 154-unit complex in the Morganville section of Marlboro.
Located roughly two miles from Route 18, The Place at Marlboro consists of one-, two- and three-bedroom homes across nine buildings, according to a news release. Monthly rents range from $1,080 to $1,836, CIS said, noting that potential residents must be income-qualified with income limits ranging from $27,090 to $89,820, depending on household size.
The 100 percent affordable property at 100 Lilac Court represents the first phase of a larger development.
“We are excited to offer this beautiful community to residents of modest income, and to have true options for quality rentals at affordable prices,” said Christiana Foglio, CIS’s founder and CEO. “We are already experiencing tremendous demand and our leasing office is open Monday to Friday 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.”
CIS added that all units are 100 percent smoke-free and Energy Star-certified, with each offering washer and dryer hookups, frost-free refrigerators, linen closets, pantries, blinds, ample storage space, luxury flooring and air conditioning. The property also has off-street parking spaces for residents and guests that are next to each building.
Meantime, The Place at Marlboro has an on-site community center to be used by residents for programmed activities. The space includes a common room, a kitchen and catering area, property management offices and an outdoor patio area.
