An international logistics company has leased nearly 350,000 square feet at a newly built industrial building in Edison, according to a brokerage team with CBRE.
The tenant, JW Fulfillment Inc., is expanding its footprint in the region with the commitment at 300 Cedar Lane. The Ningbo, China-based company will occupy half of the 699,000-square-foot facility, which sits on 50 acres about two miles from Route 1.
CBRE’s Bill Waxman, Mindy Lissner and Chris Griffith represented JW Fulfillment in conjunction with Jimo Liu of Realmart Realty. Charles Fern of Cushman & Wakefield represented the landlord, 2020 Acquisitions, in the 346,858-square-foot lease.
“Imports continue to pour into the United States as beneficial cargo owners tried to build inventory and keep up with demand,” Waxman said. “Chinese-owned logistics companies are reacting to this phenomenon as retailers and online sellers continue to show strong demand.”
Recently delivered, 300 Cedar Lane has 40-foot ceiling heights, modern lights and sprinkler systems, 123 loading docks, 161 trailer spots and 389 car spaces, CBRE said. Its newest tenant, which has more than two decades of experience in the international logistics industry, focuses on cross-border logistics, prep services for fulfillment by Amazon and overseas warehouse fulfillment services.
