Renters are flocking to Hartz Mountain Industries’ latest luxury apartment building in Weehawken, a 232-unit property just north of the Hoboken border.
The developer on Thursday said it was more than 50 percent leased at what’s known as Hoboken Point, which comprises two connected 15-story buildings at 100 Harbor Blvd. The milestone comes just three months after the start of leasing at the project, Hartz said, citing its distinctive design and amenities that appeal to hybrid workers.
Greystar is Hoboken Point’s leasing agent and property management firm.
“The enthusiastic response to Hoboken Point underscores the desire for a premium living experience that balances all elements of everyday life,” said Gus Milano, president and chief operating officer at Secaucus-based Hartz Mountain. “As demand for live-work-play communities grows, we’re proud to lead the way in creating extraordinary developments throughout the state of New Jersey.”
Designed by CetraRuddy, Hoboken Point is meant to evoke the feeling of being aboard a luxury yacht, according to a news release. Its more than 40,000 square feet of amenity space includes a 5,200-square-foot private coworking section with tech-enabled conference rooms, an outdoor terrace and a fitness center and yoga studio with 180-degree views of the Hudson River and Manhattan skyline.
The building also has a dining lounge with a demonstration kitchen, a game lounge with a multisport simulator and a screening room with a library and a dog park, as well as a multilevel roof deck with a sky pool and a spa and lounge areas.
The collection of studio, one-bedroom and two-bedroom homes is the latest addition to Hartz’s 60-acre Lincoln Harbor neighborhood, which the company has developed over several decades. Its offerings today include a Whole Foods Market, restaurants such as Blu on the Hudson, Chart House and Ruth’s Chris Steak House, the Sheraton Lincoln Harbor Hotel and two iconic office buildings that are visible to those entering and exiting the Lincoln Tunnel.
