A former longtime manager and executive at JLL is returning to the firm to lead its New Jersey property management business.
Dana Getz, who rejoins the firm as a senior vice president, brings more than 23 years of experience in New Jersey real estate, specializing in facility management, property management and capital project management. In her new role, she will spearhead business development opportunities as well as oversee operations for JLL’s current New Jersey office property management portfolio.
“Dana was a valuable member of JLL for more than 20 years, and never lost her JLL pride when going to work for P3 Properties in 2017,” said Terry Harris, JLL’s chief operating officer for the suburban tristate region. “She has maintained excellent relationships with JLL property teams and leasing teams and will look to hit the ground running with our new capital markets colleagues as well.”
Getz, previously a senior vice president at P3 Properties, rejoined JLL in October 2019. During her earlier tenure with JLL, she worked with its property management group for more than 10 years as a group manager and senior vice president.
While there, she was responsible for providing property management services for New Jersey assets totaling more than 1.3 million square feet. Prior to JLL, Getz was a senior real estate manager for CB Richard Ellis Inc.
She launched her career in real estate in South Florida, relocated to New Jersey and began working for JLL throughout the tristate area. Her roles with the firm spanned multiple aspects of the real estate industry as a project manager, regional analyst and as facility manager.
Getz has been recognized by JLL throughout her tenure, according to a news release. Those honors include the firm’s Beacon Award, which honors JLL professionals for excellence in people management, as well as the firm’s Continued Excellence Award in overall performance.
Externally, she has achieved The Outstanding Building of the Year awards from the Building Owners and Managers Association of New Jersey on both local and regional levels.
Getz received a bachelor’s in communications from Rutgers University. She is an active executive board member of the Building Owners and Managers Association of New Jersey and is slated for member approval to serve as president of BOMA New Jersey in 2020.
