PROJECT SPOTLIGHT
KEA Engineers is proud to be working alongside an incredible team, including Alpine Residential, Fields Grade Development and MHS Architecture, on the 270 Johnston Avenue project in Jersey City, NJ. This impressive 22-story mixed-use residential building includes 169 residential units and more than 226,595 square feet in total area.
A unique feature of 270 Johnston is the striking, midcentury-inspired lobby. For this atrium space, we utilized under-slab hydronic radiant heat, heating the floor from below while cooling from above along the perimeter using linear diffusers. Also notable for this project is our recommendation of inverter compressor heat pump PTACs, which provide higher energy efficiency than standard PTACs typically installed.
We’ve enjoyed our growing relationship with Alpine Residential and Fields Grade Development and our continued partnership with MHS Architecture. We are looking forward to more high-rise projects in the future!
