A homestyle Korean restaurant has leased nearly 2,200 square feet at a historic building in downtown Somerville, according to brokers with NAI DiLeo-Bram & Co.
A leasing team with the firm represented ownership at the Gaston Building, a mixed-use property at 58 West Main St., in the transaction with Seoulville. The 2,170-square-foot commitment follows the landlord’s acquisition of the three-story building last year.
“The downtown Somerville business district is experiencing increasing levels of activity as vaccine distribution increases and local restrictions loosen,” said Robert V. DiLeo, an associate with the Piscataway-based brokerage firm. “This lively environment offers an ideal setting for Seoulville as many people frequent the area for its diversity of culinary choices.”
DiLeo brokered the lease alongside Matthew DiLeo, also an associate.
“Downtown Somerville is a popular destination full of unique retail and dining options,” Matthew DiLeo said. “The appeal of this area was evident during our marketing process as there was tremendous demand for this location.”
In a news release, the firm touted the building’s location just off Interstate 287 and its distinctive architecture, which features a stone façade, turrets and third-story balcony windows. With an NJ Transit bus stop directly in front of it, the property is also a five-minute walk to the Somerville train station.
