Onyx Equities is set to unveil a new 39-unit luxury apartment building in downtown Ridgewood, as it looks to continue its momentum from another recently opened property in the village.
According to the developer, leasing is set to launch early next year at what’s known as NOMA, a reference to its location at 48 North Maple St. Onyx will work alongside The Marketing Directors to attract renters to the building, offering upscale unit finishes and amenity spaces, along with easy access to Ridgewood’s downtown and commuter train station.
NOMA will follow the debut of The Benjamin, a nearby 60-unit property developed by Onyx, which leased up this past spring in just 50 days.
“It was always our intention to create two high-level residential rental options juxtaposing one with more traditional design elements and materials and one with a more edgy feel to ensure that we appealed to all renters looking to stay in Ridgewood,” said John Saraceno, Jr., co-founder and managing principal at Onyx Equities and Onyx Living. “We leased up The Benjamin in less than two months which let us know that we made the right product for this community.”
Amenities at NOMA include a commercial-grade Matrix fitness center, a yoga studio with virtual training technology, a resident lounge with billiards and shuffleboard, a golf simulator, co-working spaces and others, according to a news release. Outdoors, residents will have access to a rooftop lounge with an outdoor bar, green lawn with a movie screen and a private party area.
NOMA sits between East Ridgewood and Franklin avenues, with a location that allows commuters to access Manhattan by train in around 40 minutes. It’s also minutes from restaurants and retail on the east and west sides of town, along with Van Neste Park, Veterans Field and major highways such as Route 17.
