Six tenants have combined to lease nearly 22,000 square feet at an office building in downtown Jersey City, in a series of recent deals arranged by Cushman & Wakefield.
The transactions at 30 Montgomery St., a 315,385-square-foot property, include new commitments and renewals by tenants such as law firm Schuman Hanlon, financial services firm Hudsonpoint and manufacturing company Specialty Rondot, according to a news release. Behrman Cesa Communications and Chori, a renewable energy manufacturer, also took space, as did law firm Morgan and Morgan.
Cushman’s David DeMatteis and Mina Shehata represented the landlord, American Realty Advisors, in the transactions.
“We are thrilled to see the resilience of small office users in Jersey City and their confidence in this building’s exceptional quality,” Shehata said. “These latest leases solidify American Realty Advisors’ commitment to providing prime office spaces that meet the evolving needs of its tenants.”
In announcing the deals, C&W noted that 30 Montgomery has on-site building management and ground-floor retail users including CAVA, Chipotle, &Pizza and FedEx. In 2015, the 15-story property underwent a $20 million renovation that included new windows throughout the building, a new façade, a new double-height lobby with glass walls, a new cooling and heating plant and switch gear, new tenant corridors and bathrooms and new retail units.
The waterfront property is two miles from downtown New York City and seven miles from Newark Liberty International Airport, C&W said. Tenants, meantime, are within walking distance of public transportation options such as a PATH Station, ferry and light rail and multiple banking, restaurant and retail offerings.
