The developers of a new luxury apartment building in Jersey City have inked a partnership with Lyft, adding the ridesharing service to a host of other transportation options.
The firms — BNE Real Estate Group, Hoboken Brownstone Co. and McKinney Properties — on Tuesday announced Lyft as the official transportation partner at 675 Monmouth St. To that end, residents of the 260-unit property known as The Enclave will have added perks through both the ridesharing service and Citi Bike, following Lyft’s expansion into bikesharing.
“We tailored every aspect of this building to suit the needs and wants of our urban renters, sparing no detail in creating a place of connection,” said Jonathan Schwartz, partner at BNE. “From our apartments to our amenities to the many transportation options offered through our newly launched partnership with Lyft and Citi Bike, our residents are at the center of all that’s happening throughout our surrounding neighborhood.”
The Enclave, which is part of an emerging neighborhood just south of Hoboken, is more than 65 percent leased after launching in early May. The developers said the transportation options at the property have contributed to that momentum, noting that they also offer complimentary shuttle service to and from the Hoboken PATH station.
Lyft’s acquisition of Motivate, the firm behind Citi Bike, has added to the appeal for developers seeking to partner with the company. Citi Bike has more than 50 stations throughout Jersey City, offering an annual membership for $169 that offers unlimited, 45-minute rides throughout Jersey City and New York.
Citi Bike is also now available within the Lyft app, where users can purchase a single 30-minute trip for $3, according to a news release.
“Our partnerships with residential properties allow us to expand service and ensure people in the Jersey City community have access to our reliable, multimodal transportation options,” said Eric Plummer, market manager of Lyft New Jersey. “We’re excited to be able to offer a seamless experience for residents at The Enclave by providing access to both rideshare and Citi Bike within the Lyft app.”
BNE, Hoboken Brownstone and McKinney debuted the high-end apartment building in early June and continue to market it alongside The Marketing Directors.
“The Enclave’s convenient commuter location, proximity to all that Hoboken and Downtown Jersey City have to offer and an amenity-rich lifestyle have quickly resonated with renters from both sides of the Hudson River,” said Jacqueline Urgo, president of The Marketing Directors.
