Fast-casual restaurant chain honeygrow has announced plans for two additional locations, including a store at a Simon-owned property in Toms River.
According to the operator, which specializes in stir fry and salads, the new Ocean County Mall location at 1200 Hooper Ave. will be its sixth in New Jersey. The eatery will open its doors this fall, joining the likes of On the Border, P.F. Chang’s, HomeSense and others in Toms River, while bringing 35 full- and part-time jobs.
The expansion by the Philadelphia-based chain follows a recently announced lease signing in Old Bridge. Meantime, its newest Pennsylvania store will be in Monroeville, outside Pittsburgh, for what will be its 18th location in its home state.
“Both of these locations are really exciting steps for honeygrow,” said Justin Rosenberg, the company’s founder and CEO. “Expanding our presence in central New Jersey is a natural extension as we bridge the gap between our southern and northern New Jersey restaurants. Likewise, adding a second location in the Pittsburgh area allows us to strengthen our brand awareness as we look to continue to add restaurants between western and eastern PA. We’re actively engaged in finding more opportunities throughout Pennsylvania and New Jersey.”
In announcing the deal, honeygrow noted that its menu includes five year-round stir-fry dishes and one seasonal option, along with six healthy salads and a host of other offerings.
